A pension account is a blocked account on which you build capital for later with a tax advantage. At Vive that is a third-pillar lijfrente account, in your name.

Your contribution is deductible within your jaarruimte, the capital sits outside box 3 during accrual, and you only pay tax once the benefit starts. In return, the money is locked until your retirement date. See pension investing.
