What are the total costs of investing?

When investing you generally encounter four types of cost in the market:

• Management costs — a percentage of your invested capital, for the manager.
• Fund costs — the fund's own ongoing charges, settled in the price.
• Transaction costs — charged per purchase or sale. Vive does not charge these.
• Other costs — such as deposit fees, withdrawal fees or a performance fee. Vive does not charge these.
