What is Wtp pension?

The Wet toekomst pensioenen (Wtp) is the reform of the Dutch pension system, in force since 1 July 2023. 'Wtp pension' refers to a second-pillar scheme that meets the new rules.

The core of the law: the contribution is central rather than a promised benefit, everyone gets a personal pension pot, and the age-dependent premium scale disappears. Schemes must be adjusted by 1 January 2028. Read what the Wtp means for employers.
