What are AEX day options?

AEX Day Options: These are options with the AEX index as the underlying value which expire at 16:00 on the day after introduction, giving them an effective term of almost two days. They offer investors a short-term instrument for speculating on movements in the AEX index. Day options are introduced every trading day, except on Thursday, due to the expiry of AEX weekly options on Friday. The trading symbol contains the addition "A" plus the day of expiry, for example "A13" for options expiring on 13 June. Informally, these options are also called "dailies".

This term is specific to the financial markets and requires insight into the operation of options and the AEX index.
