What is Agro Confidence Index?

A confidence indicator that measures the sentiment among Dutch farmers, such as arable and horticultural farmers and livestock farmers, four times a year. An index above 0 indicates that more entrepreneurs have confidence in their business than there are entrepreneurs who have less confidence. The scale varies from -100 to +100. This 'farmers' barometer' has been developed by LTO Nederland, Flynth, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and LEI Wageningen UR. The Netherlands hereby follows comparable indices in other European countries.
