What is accumulation?

Accumulate means to accumulate or allow to grow. It is an analyst's advice to buy a certain share, thereby adding more shares to an already existing position. This advice is often given if the position is already profitable and the share price is expected to rise further. Other terms used for this advice are 'buy' or 'add'.
