What is Abenomics?
Abenomics refers to the economic stimulus policy of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, which is a combination of very large monetary expansion, large-scale economic stimulus and various structural reforms.
This policy, launched in 2013, included, among other things, a stimulus package of 10.3 trillion yen and large-scale bond purchases by the Bank of Japan (BoJ) to boost inflation and pull the economy out of prolonged stagnation.
Example: "The effect of Abenomics is particularly visible in the balance sheet of the Japanese central bank, which has more than tripled since 2012."
